Background
We are looking for additional development experts to help implement an ambitious development programme for our flagship SmartAgént customer enquiry management software.
SmartAgent utilises a range of highly advanced messaging, natural language processing, automation and workflow technologies to improve the efficiency and quality with which the ever increasing volumes of electronic correspondence received by today's high volume contact centres can be processed.
We predict that over the next five years electronic messaging in all forms (the web, email, sms, instant messaging) will continue at a rapid pace as these new 'lifestyle' technologies increasing enter the mainstream. Naturally, consumers will expect to be able to interact with suppliers seamlessly across multiple channels, with timely and consistent responses. SmartAgent allows supplier - consumer correspondence across multiple channels to be managed through a single integrated messaging solution, providing efficiencies and quality improvements through a combination of improved management control, sophisticated skills based routing and automated processing.

Job Description
As a key member of a small team of talented and motivated software engineers you will be responsible for major developments and enhancements to a rapidly evolving and truly exciting product. Developers will concentrate on one of two main areas of the product; either in the Java based natural language processing engine or in the Microsoft based workflow and web console components. A high degree of cross-skilling is however expected and required.
Successful applicants will have a commitment to quality and blend real intellectual capacity with sound experience and skills in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You will have at least 2 years software development experience (design and coding) with demonstrable expertise in either:
- Java
- SQL Server 2000 / MySQL
- XML / HTML
- Object oriented design
- Knowledge of or interest in natural language processing techniques would be a distinct advantage.

- SQL Server 2000
- C#.Net
- VB6
- XML / HTML / Web Services.

- Experience of large-scale n-tier enterprise application development would be a distinct advantage.
