As a recent winner of the European Tour’s flagship event and major championship regular, Simon Khan knows what it’s like to be on top of his game. His victory at last year’s BMW PGA Championship was a triumphant tale of dedication, commitment, belief and sheer hard work.
At numero, we share Simon’s relentless drive to be the best in class and to do the right thing. We understand his passion and commitment to continuous improvement to retain a position ahead of the field. We also understand the satisfaction of achieving your potential against strong competition from around the globe.
That’s why, as a clear statement of our intent to develop the numero brand on the global stage, we are extremely proud to announce our sponsorship of Simon until the end of the 2012 season.
As Simon competes in the world’s biggest golf events across Europe, America and Asia, the numero logo on his shirt will confirm our arrival as not just the leading name in innovative customer service solutions, but also a recognised player in the global marketplace.
Guy Colclough, founder and CEO of numero, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to have a proven International sports star like Simon on board. I can think of no better representative for our brand – he’s a proven winner on the biggest stage and this is a fantastic platform for us as we enter an exciting new stage in our development.”
“In sponsoring Simon we aim to send a clear message about our corporate pedigree, world class performance and desire to help others compete against the stiffest competition. After years of hard work, we have established our place on the global stage, so it is fantastic that we will now rub shoulders with world-famous companies on golf tours worldwide.”
“Like me, many of our clients and partners are sports nuts and keen golfers and we hope this exposure in the world of professional golf will prove just as successful as our long-standing corporate support of Manchester United. We won’t be stopping there though – I’m also passionate about eventing and skiing and we have our eyes on some very interesting opportunities in those sports too.”
The decision to take numero to the next level is underpinned by a record-breaking period of progress for the business. Despite the current economic downturn, numero has won an unprecedented number of new clients in 2011 including Cable & Wireless Communications, BT, ATOS, Express Gifts and Kitbag (the online supplier to Manchester United and Chelsea Football Clubs among others). These big-name brands join an already impressive client roster that includes Tesco, Argos, GAME, Matalan and Vertex.
Guy Colclough added:
“Our reputation in the multi-channel customer engagement sector is now well established and, aligned with the phenomenal take-up of our new social media and mobile solutions, the time is right to step up to the next level secure in the knowledge that our business is well positioned for the future.”
numero’s deal with Simon includes the rare opportunity for clients to see behind the scenes of a proven European Tour winner and for some to play a round with the man himself.
The numero team is looking forward to a long and beneficial relationship with Simon and the excitement of involvement with professional sport. As Guy concludes:
“With any luck, we will all have some fun and I might even pick up enough tips to bring our handicaps down!”
