In July, numero staffer Emma Wilson will be getting into the charity spirit with a 5k charity run around Chase Water Park.
Emma, who is part of numero’s business development team, will be running the event in aid of The County Air Ambulance Trust on the 3rd of July. The event is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Knight.
Speaking about the event, Emma said:
“The Air Ambulance provides such an important service. The event in Chase Water Park is to help make sure that they face no limitations when it comes to saving lives.”
The charity event at Chase Water Park is to raise money for The Help Appeal, a fundraising drive which would enable the Air Ambulance to fly 24 hours a day, rather than just during daylight hours. The campaign is aiming to raise £10 million to ensure major hospitals around the United Kingdom have suitable helipad access.
The HELP appeal was launched in October 2008 and, since the launch of the campaign, six helipads have been (or are in the process of being) built throughout the country. The first helipad opened at the Oswestry Spinal Injuries Hospital, near Wrexham and work is continuing for facilities to be built at hospitals in Nottingham, Leicester, Bristol, Birmingham and Hereford.
