Video already accounts for a third of all internet traffic and is forecast to grow to 90% by 2013. The growth is fuelled by consumer demand and is a reflection of the power of images and the spoken word in comparison to text alone.
numero has already embraced the change with a series of video resources that form a central part of our online presence and our work with large clients including GAME and Yodel. Video significantly enhances our ability to help organisations like these to understand the power and potential of numero solutions, but it also helps businesses to promote the benefits within their own organisations. With the help of video, everyone from call centre operatives to senior management teams can understand the amazing potential of numero uno.
Given the growing importance of video within modern communication, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Lee, our communications strategist. His brief is to develop our video and interactive communication library through the development of a suite of materials to help our clients and prospective clients understand the role and potential of numero solutions. Dave will also develop resources that will help our client to promote the use and benefits of numero solutions within their own organisations – with everything from iPhone apps to management information films.
Dave is something of a video guru, having directed commercials for EMI, Universal Music, Ministry of Sound and Manchester Airport. He’s also the man behind the new music video at the start of this page, which is currently being broadcast on Music Channels all over Europe. His creative skills are showcased in all our existing online videos including the following:
Just 24 hours into his new role, Dave is already hard at work, although he just had time to say:
“I’m looking forward to exploiting the potential offered by the rapidly moving digital marketing world through the creation of innovative video and interactive resources for numero. The far-reaching potential of numero solutions lends itself perfectly to the medium, so the subject matter is almost endless”.
Guy Colclough, numero CEO, highlighted the importance of Dave’s appointment to the overall growth of numero and the service offered to clients:
“A great deal of what we do within numero is centred on communication – especially that between contact centres and customers. As our ‘do the right thing’ ethos highlights, it’s essential for organisations to support the communication preferences of consumers, from written to electronic, proactive to passive. This important appointment reflects this approach and puts the power of video and interactive communication at the heart of our organisation”.
