Following the most successful year in its history, numero has announced ambitious plans to grow significantly over the next three years. Targeting revenues of £15 million, the business plans to capitalise on strong demand for software and solutions from existing customers – including Tesco, Cable & Wireless, Matalan, QVC, Phones4U – and new opportunities in retail, logistics, telco, government and financial services.
The expansion of numero follows a long period of continued success on major projects that have transformed the business operations of clients. These projects typically enable organisations to keep pace with the rapid adoption of new technology around the globe, driven in particular by social media, e-commerce, smartphone use and paperless communication.
numero has benefitted from strong demand from large organisations as its solutions integrate existing systems and processes – to protect legacy investment – and all methods of communication. As a result, numero clients are able to respond to the communication needs and preferences of their markets while creating a ‘big data’ view through the combination of information in a 360 degree view of each and every customer.
The combination of a strong order book and growing demand from UK and international companies has resulted in numero appointing a Sales Director. John Furness has joined the company following a long and successful career in software and solutions, having worked for ICL, Bull, ROCC and, most recently, Utiligroup. As Managing Director of Utiligroup, John grew revenues and profits substantially thanks to significant expansion in the software licensing, managed services and professional services operations of the business.
Utiligroup is a numero partner and John has first-hand knowledge of the power and potential of numero solutions – a fact that strongly influenced his decision to take-up his role in the company. Commenting on his appointment, John highlighted this fact:
“I am a long-time admirer of numero and the team behind the business. Their ability to transform the way businesses work and communicate – especially in relation to mobile, social media and ecommerce – is remarkable. The opportunity to work with such a powerful software platform and talented group of people is something I relish. With thirty years’ experience in the industry, it’s easy to understand the potential of numero.
Guy Colclough, numero founder and CEO, explains the strategic importance of the appointment:
“John’s appointment is an important strategic development for numero as it reflects our growth and ambition. We now have a fully-formed and highly experienced senior management team that is driving the business forward and focusing on taking numero to a new level. We are confident of growing revenues to £15 million, which will confirm the maturity and capability of the business.”
John will work alongside his fellow senior executives – in finance, services, software and operations – to deliver the ambitious growth plan. He will have full responsibility for sales, pre-sales and marketing at numero.
John joins the team of software development, mobile, social media, customer experience and CRM experts at numero. He will be based at the Stockport head office although customer opportunities will involve travel through the UK and internationally.
